Approaching from The South or West including Lancashire
Travel from the west along the M62 and join the MI and follow this until it links with the A1. From the south follow the M1 until it links with the A1 ,or follow the A1 from the South. Note that the A1/M1 link is a new motorway that may not yet be on the road maps. Take the A64 from the A1 signposted to York and Scarborough . Approaching along the A64 , about four miles before York you pass the Buckles Inn on your left, followed by signs to Askham Bryan Agricultural College. Shortly after the Buckles there is a turning left signposted to Harrogate, along the A1237 , the York Western By pass. Take this turning to Harrogate. Once on the bypass, travelling North West in a clockwise direction around York, take the second turning right, signposted to Acomb. After about half a mile , there is a mini roundabout. Go straight across this along Askham Lane. Be careful of the speed humps. After about three quarters of a mile, just before a second mini roundabout, Grange Lane turns off to the left. Go along Grange Lane. Do not turn off. Eventually the road turns into a dirt track. Go along this for about 50 yards and fork left . This is Acomb Grange.
