Rivendale is a sheltered park with a South facing pitching area. The park is surrounded by the Peak District National Park's most spectacular scenery, with Dove Dale, Biggin Dale, Eton and Alsop Dales within a few miles of Rivendales. Footpaths lead directly from Rivendale into these dales and the park is only 100 metres from the Tissington Trail. Rivendale is thus ideal for walkers, cyclists, and most outdoor and adventure sports. Chatsworth, Hadden and many other stately homes are close by, as are Alton Towers and The World Heritage Site in the Derwent Valley. There is much of historical interest and several industrial and mining museums.
